GRADUATION DAY
“We are one with our Brothers and Sisters All over the World.”
Eton International School held its 7th Annual Leadership Awards at the Manila Hotel Centennial Ballroom on April 2, 2011. The event was inspired by the crisis of our OFW’s in Middle East as well as the recent calamities that struck Japan.
Each student was dressed in Filipiña style that added sparkle and glamour to their charming looks; as they entered the hall with pride and honor. The graduation rites started with a national anthem followed by an opening remarks given by the school’s Directress/Principal, wherein she discussed briefly about the school’s 7-year achievements and excellence; along with its vision for the next 7 years. The invited guest speaker expounded current events that had put two countries into chaos. The speeches marked the advocacy of Eton International School to reach out those in needs; by providing a qualified OFW Beneficiary scholarships grant the best way it can give.
The context of the program was merely focused on the achievement of all the students combined with their witty participation on the event. This was highlighted with the receiving of honors and awards of candidate students who have excelled in both Academics and Multiple Intelligence skills. Though, it had brought to some students a tiring mood but, they were able to perform well and acted impeccably and orderly with their respective presentation; a moment making parents very parents proud of their children. The latter part of the graduation was so overwhelming that enticely moved the grade VI students as well as the Principal/Directress shed tears of joy.
The success of the event would not be made possible if not with the cooperation, patience, understanding, openness, and mobility among the staff and teachers who relentlessly dedicated their talents, skills and creativity as well as their love for the students; to achieve the fruits of their hardwork as they leap forward to greater heights and new frontiers.
